Looking for the deal of the century? You’ve come to the right place! Bankruptcy asset sales could be exactly what you’re looking for. Bkassets.com specializes in liquidating assets seized in bankruptcy from across the United States. This guide is to help new bidders navigate the bidding process.
Step One: Find an asset on which to place your bid. Read the terms that apply to the auction here or by following the link on at the bottom of each ad.
Step Two: Determine the sale date. The title of each listing on Bkassets.com holds the sale date for the auction (e.g. “On Sale 1/4″). Some assets will read “On Sale Soon” in their title. This means that the sale is pending for an order from the United States Bankruptcy Court to proceed. If the sale date reads “On Sale Soon,” feel free to check back regularly or email us for an update once the auction date is set. Also, if you follow us on twitter or facebook, you will instantly be notified in your feed when an asset has a sale date set.
Step Three: Locate the logo of the online auction house in the ad. Most of our auctions occur through eBay, however some of our more unique assets may be on onlineauction.com or another site. Once a sale date is set, a link to the auction house will be in the Bkassets ad. Click on this link to access the auction.
Step Four: Complete your bidding through the auction house. Each auction site, like eBay, has a guide for placing a bid and other tricks and trips for buyers. You may need to establish an account with the site, so please prepare to bid in advance of the close date.
